Rocky Flower Show 28 May 2016

The Rocky Flower Show was once again a great success. The weather was just right, not too sunny for folks to drive to the coast and not wet to deter others. There were more plants in the Show than ever before. Vic Aspland won the Farrer with his Daphne jasminea.
The AGS decreed that there would not be a photo competition. The organising team thought otherwise. Members came up trumps and the photo competition was very successful and gave a perfect backdrop to the plants. Christine Hughes was the overall winner.
There were 9 nurseries selling a good range of plants. Catering, as usual, was up to a high standard. While we enjoyed our cake and tea, Kevin Hughes and Keith Lever gave short informative talks on various plants that they were selling.
